Brooklyn Festival 2012
Invited by Nora de Hoyos Comstack, Founder of Las Comadres para las Americas, in September 22, 2012, Writer Ana Arelys Cruz Cabrera presented her book at the Brooklyn Festival. This book festival brings together authors, publishers, and book readers not only from Brooklyn but also from NY, US and the world. "It was an extraordinary experience" author said. "Reading in the mix of a very diverse conglomeration of people and presenting them the history of the city of Providence and the history of the city of Santo Domingo made me feel very proud." Ana Arelys’s poem celebrating Roger Williams’ life "Roger Williams" (one of the founder of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations) was also recited for the audience by the poet.

In October 5, 2012, The books Constrast of two cities, Providence and Santo Domingo and the Tourist Guide Santo Domingo and Providence were also launched In the city of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic in a very elegant ceremony; the poem "Providence" and the song "My Quisqueya were recited in front of an audience of approximately one hundred fifty people by Professor Angelina Guerrero and the author and poet Ana Arelys Cruz Cabrera respectively. A beautiful night at Carlos Maria's Room, Atracciones el Lago, Mirador Sur Park. The book presentation was performed by Diomedez Nuñez Polanco, Director of the National, Library Pedro Henriquez Ureña, Santo Domingo, and Professor Marcelo Puello, Professor of the Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo , and Kin Sanchez Fernandez, Cultural Adviser of the Cluster Turistico de Santo Domingo. Adys Puello was the Mistress of Ceremony. Ana Arelys Cruz Cabrera, author of the books, spoke to the audience and enjoyed meeting, talking with attendees and signing her books for hem. They enjoyed delicious wine and appetizers. It was a beautiful event.
In behalf of Representative Grace Diaz, Mrs. Mery Cruz gave a citation to Editor Adys Puello for her work as editor of the books Contrast of two cities, Providence and Santo Domingo.
